well open season started on the 20th. My hunting partner showed up a few days early so we could both get geared up. We headed out opening morning. Spooked some moose when walking into our spot.
Day 2 went into another spot that has been good to us. Actually 3 of my buddies 4 bulls have come from this spot. We walk in the 1 km trail and the whole time we can hear some logging equipment working. We set up and did a bunch of cow calls. On the walk in we got very wet from the snow the nightefore and now it was melting, so we decided to go for a bit farther of a walk. we got 20 yards from where i was calling and we spotted a bull coming into the call. I made sure my buddy got a good rest and he smacked it at 160 yards. The bull went 20 yards and was down for the count. Pressures off.

I had a buddy and my uncle come down from the lower mainland. So day 3 was speant catching up and getting gear ready. Knives sharpened game bags washed ect,
Day 4 we head out to a place my old man likes to call ol faithfull. My buddy walked in with my old man, as there was a good chance they were going to see a bull and Cody had never shot nor hunted moose before.
uncle wade went in above.
andnd cecil and i went into a meadow about 3 kms away.
we walked and got set up for cow calling. I let out one set of cow calls and had a bull running in. A young bull but a good eater. 350 yards he got our wind and i took a shot. He dropped after ten steps.
8;15am
i called dad on the radio to let him know that i had a bull dow and he said they had a bull coming into there call as well. Then i heard wade say he just spooked a moose and its heading their way. about two minutes later i could hear boom boom. well they got a small bull as well.
rest of the day gut skin and packing. lots of good meat
