Lilloet River, Upper Pitt River, Harrison Lake. It would be neat to do, but I don't think you are getting much of an advantage unless you go into areas like Upper Stave Lake, where access is so limited that very few people get in there. Upper Pitt might be another good case, but you have to be a half decent drive up there.

The upper Pitt is not the easiest river to run as we found out a couple weeks ago. A small boat with a heavy bottom is just what the doctor ordered.

I still have the the jet on the same boat so the bottom is kinda wavy now LOL. The upper stave has that run of the river project going and a pretty extensive road network when i was looking at a govt map which i cant seem to find on the net anymore. hopefully the weather holds up for the next few days.

We now have welded sled that i will be transplanting the motor to but i am seriously thinking about putting the uhmw on it before i change over the motor mainly because i know if i have the jet on it from the get go i will use the boat .

upper stave is ok but there are roadways so the advantage isn't there... Upper pitt is better but is quite the river... gets pretty wild up there. My dad used to take big muleys out of there back in the day. Take swim shorts, there is a hot tub about a 100 yards past the bridge on the left bank built into the rocks with bricks, you'll need to dump a couple buckets of river water in to cool it tho, it's almost boiling.

upper stave and the logging /access roads are are boat access only like Pitt .
You cant drive there unless you barge something up ( there is a work camp there).

here are a few pics.

the water is normally really shallow with a few deep pockets. there is an access road that runs up the river and goes way up the valley. and there is a run of the river being put in up there on the QT so it seems

Been up both the stave and the pitt this week, saw a few deer on the stave but only elk and wolves on the pitt. Not as many deer as there usually is for the pitt this time of year? It was cool to hear the bulls going crazy last week on the pitt though! Second rut??? Will be hitting it hard after remembrance day for the rut, meantime it's all about coho on the fly:wink:
