Hey guys, last minute change of plans for the annual hunting trip. We can only go as far as Lillouet this year rather than up north. None of the group have hunted around there before but we like the open deer seasons (going end of oct)

Hoping to get some direction as to where a good area to start would be and and somewhere to camp close to it. Not looking for a handout, just somewhere with lots of huntable ground.

Thanks guys, Im on the north island, shoot me a pm if anyones ever looking for hunting or fishing info up here.

How about the Hurly pass area, good mulies, or the Cayoosh.

Lots of logging roads, old and new slashes, some alpine. They will be coming into rut not too far away from now, just get out there and work it.

Motor cycles, quads or bicycles might get you further where you can't take your trucks.

Good luck to you.

Empire Valley/Gang Ranch. Good roads, lotsa deer, lotsa deer. Lots of nice hunters willing to chase deer into your lap if you sit in the right spots.

Seen some deer and sign on slopes above the Yalacom river earlier in the year, but i would think it gets lots of pressure

if you're going all the way to lillooet, you may as well go to the cache creek area...plenty o deer and hunters around those parts.
