lower mainland black bear

hallo every hunters:

I am new to hunting this year, I have bought a tag for black bear and I have went to squamish for 3 times saw 2 grouse, but didn't cought anyting! but I just saw a black bear 3 weeks ago in the place I work in west vancouver! but too bad that was not the right place and the right time! I hope someone can help me, where to look for black bear and/or grouse in the lower mainland(near vancouver is the best),? I don't have a 4x4, I only have a regeral car, but I am willing to hike. will be nice if someone willing to go with me too! please give me some idea where to start. thanks alot
