After not hunting for over 12 years I decided to start again this year. I went and took the P.A.L. course. Bought my license and tags and went out exploring. Second time out hunting with my dad I took this buck. No real story. We were driving through a cut block and just about to the edge of the timber when we saw him.

Not a huge buck by any means but will taste really good. I missed the taste of wild meat.:-)

Used to hunt moose up in the Management there, but they started to disappear. Any word on whether they have made a comeback? My old hunting buddy, Frank Novak, bought a lodge up on Rioux Lake and it was great to sleep in the cabin when it was cold. He's over on the island now and still keeps in touch, but I doubt he and Pam will move back to the Interior.
Anyway, Nice buck.

Nice buck..rumor has it that all the monsters come from clearwater, just heard that around the water cooler though.
