Friend took me hunting in the Okanagan area. All setup the night before. Up an hour before dawn. Drove up to the cut blocks... no visibility, drove to a couple other areas where we planned to sit & glass and walk some deer trails but could not see more than 20 meters... Drove to a couple different areas... same thing. So what I have to show for is:

Target to see if 15 degrees at sea level produced same ballistics (5" high at 100m) as 0 degrees at 2000 meters elevation (and no shift during transportation)
Good strudel made by Simon (German pastry chef in Keremeos)
Picture of a river at about 450 meters elevation (see the fog... and this was around 1pm, 6 hours after sunrise and a minimum of 1,000 meters below the cut blocks - still no blue sky, few bright spots, nothing lifting).
Sympathy deer shaped grilled cheese sandwich made by my wife.
And two great days not working.

Hopefully will be able to tag along again later in the week.

Ahh thats one good looking grilled cheese deer, to bad about the fog but you are right, two days of poor hunting is better than two days of work :)

5" high at 100? What are you shooting for a rifle?

5" high at 100? What are you shooting for a rifle? PM sent with 100m and 200m targets.
Think it is more a factory ammo than rifle issue. Had developed loads for target rifle rather than hunting rifle so it is what it is.
