Ellis Canyon (Penticton area)

Does anybody know how far in the Ellis Canyon road you can drive off the upper Carmi road until you hit the vehicle restricted area? Thanks

I went quite a ways in there a couple weeks ago, the yellow gate was open, there was absolutely no signs whatsoever! My mapbook shows no evidence of a vehicle restriction either??

First I have heard of vehicle restriction up there as well?

That restriction has been there for years. If you go in from the East there is a sign.

My mistake! I was thinking of the ellis cr.FSR, not ellis canyon :redface:
Why would that be a vehicle restricted area??? watershed reasons???
