My annual hunting trip with two cousins an uncle and my Dad was probably the best yet.We had two moose draws in reg5 and my cousins each took turns cutting there tags 5 days or so apart.
Deer were another story.. Only one buck was seen in ten days of hunting and he was a little spiker which I shot. Not much meat on him but he should be good eating.Plus I had to shoot him to prove to the old guys that there were actually bucks in that valley.
We did see a bit of grizz sign as well nothing up close and personal though.
My Dad and I did get one day of hiking in up to a alpine ridge but not much for deer sign was to be had up there either.

On another note we ended up doing a theme dinner each(italian, indian, mexican and west coast) night and nobody lost any hunting time either. My favorite was west coast clam chowder, bacon wrapped oysters, fresh salmon in a sweet chili pasta and caesars it was damn good!!

Nice work Caleb! What theme night dinner was yours...? I'll bet the morning after Mexican night there was no game within a few miles of your camp :)

Nice work Caleb! What theme night dinner was yours...?

Mine was mexican night and the next day on the lake we were camped on we got the second moose,so I guess recycled refried beans are moose bait:lol:

It was a good trip cuz. I think dad is still having a hard time letting mexican night get out of his system, took him for drive on the weekend. I only got five pieces of deer, I guess it's not the qaunity but the quality. Nice pics also.
