Well here it is my 10 year old brothers first whitetail!!! I'm not great at telling stories so i'll keep it short and sweet. After hunting really hard in the earlier part of the season Chase (my brother) had several opportunities at smaller bucks but they never panned out. He put in a lot of hard work and determintation and proved to all of us he had the killer instinct in him. Ony Saturday he had a great opportunity at a nice 2pt. mule deer but it never presented him with a clean shot, so he brought his gun down and let him walk. that same afternoon he had a chance at a nice black bear but it was a bit out of his range. Sunday night came around and we all had a bit of the flu so we were debating weather or not to head back to town and rest and relax on Monday. But we always do we decided what the heck lets beat ourselves up just a little bit more so we toughed it out and had a good rest and woke up bright and early Monday morning. Not more than 15 minutes after Dad and Chase had sat down in there blind 2 mule deer does emerged from the thick timbed, Dad told Chase to get ready he heard something behind them..... well Chase lifted up my great grandfathers 250-3000 loaded with 100gr. pill and just as he put the stock of the gun onto his rest my dad quickly says BIG BUCK Chase get ready he's coming and sure enough the beauty 6x6 whitetail turned up towards them and presented Chase with a perfect broadside shot at 70 yards. BANG the gun went off the the big buck was down one shot in a heap! Sure is an amazing buck and we are all very proud of him that he did it all on his own and cranked a BC beauty! The buck measured 23" wide with 22" main beams, double brow tines and very symetrical. :-D

Congrats to your brother on a beauty of a whitetail.:o They say you'll never forget the first one,which I'm sure your bro won't have a problem here.Great story,love the determination.

Some people have all the luck, first deer and a dandy to boot. Congratulations, that is a heck of a nice buck you got there.

Thanks everyone he just got on here and read all the posts. He's pumped! we just went out to check them out again, you can never get enough of a great buck. He's a lucky little guy with two older brothers and a great dad to show him the roped and do the leg work for him untill now haha This ones going over his bed he says.... i bet right next to his Meagan Fox poster haha

Nice buck for your brother for sure, but do tell more about the saltwater flats fishing.

hey blaker nice job on teaching your bro that hard, honest, getting up early every morning and walking, along with a ton of patience is hwat made it possible to score on this big boy.

A huge congrats to your brother. Good for him for showing patience on his shot opportunities too! Shows some real maturity for a young guy.
