Well after three weeks of early morning rising i finally got my frist buck of the year on saturday October 10 at 7:00am.
Me and the brother in law both decided that we were going to head to a place that someone told us to give a shot at. As we were driving into this area we had a huge cow moose and a calf cross the road right in front of us and then about 10 minutes later we see 7 does grazing in a field about three hundred yards away. Right then and there we decided to get out of the nice warm truck and get ready for our long hike up to our spot. As we are both getting ready to go we spot movement in a clearing and low and behold ITS A BUCK!!!!!!! Off i went running down the main road in socks cause i hadent put my boots on yet. so i get the edge of the clearing and there he is waiting for me at 220 yards broadside perfect shot! Bang goes the gun and flop goes the first buck of the season. Hopefully not the only buck of the season.
