Well we hit the Stamp today to be greeted by blown out murky waters. But, with a new secret I have been waiting to try, I was still enthusiastic. Fished from the bucket down to the gun club (well lol acutally two holes as there was absolutely no river bank and we were flinging our presentations from 10 feet in the woods between trees) With that side of the river hopeless, we went to the other side. Grid patterning every back eddy and current seam put me into one clean beauty 31" hatchery buck, a premature spawner of about 3 pounds and my buddy lost one chromer while waiting for me to show up to take a picture. Conditions were against us and we did well, especially considering the guide I spoke to said they only had one to the boat and lost one, all day.
A good freeze or a couple dry days will put the river in prime shape.
