Yes,but shot placement is paramont with smaller calibers\smaller bullet wieghts.my son shoots a 270 and he's brought down large northern B.C Moose with it.Last bull he hit it in the neck, broke is,bull stubled and went down,we had to cut the distance and he finished it with a head shot.that was a large bodied three point bull, dressed 860 lbs, fort nelson area.

Have taken roughly a dozen moose over the years, everything from two points to a 800lb dressed BC book bull. All were taken with my 270 remington shooting either 130 gr. coreloks or 130 gr. nosler partitions.Never had any problems and almost all never required more than two shots. Making sure of your shot placement is far more important than caliber size. A poor shot is a poor shot no matter what caliber you shoot.

Big head small kill zone. Big jaw, bigger nose, bigger still neck, all = lost animal. Hit him in the chest they are big animals a little lost meat is worth the full freezer.

EVERYONE OR NO ONE!

270 is more than enough, the Accubond is a great bullet. have a great hunt and post some pics if you get lucky

You are good to go with that set up. Might want to try to avoid a texas heart shot or a head/neck shot regardless of cannon and load of choice.

I just got back from moose hunting in area 7 12b and I dropped a nice bull 1 shot through the lungs with my 270 using 140 gr. Your fine with that gun.Its all about shot placement. Good luck

A friend of mine shot one last week with a 140 gr 6.5x55. He said it stood there for about a minute before tipping over.

I have shot 23 moose,2 grizz,28 blackbears and dozens of deer with my .270 using 130 corelocks. No sweat,no headshots.Great rifle.Aim for the boiler room, nothing can live long with the lungs and heart shot out.Head shots are a really bad choice, too much room for error and a wounded animal you may never recover.

A 243 with with 85gr barns tsx bullets will break the largest bones in a moose within 200 yards. Seen it done a couple times. Your 270 is almost overkill!

I have shot them with 260 rem,308, 7mm mag and a buddy shot lots with a 257 Roberts put the bullet where it belongs and no problem most of mine have been in the neck but not always recommended slap them in the wash board and wrap them in paper
