With the impending hoards of moose hunters converging on PG and area for the calf season starting tomorrow, Dad figured it was a good idea to head out yesterday morning and take this 2 pt bull before someone else came along.

No fancy story. Drove to the block, walked in and an hour later came across the bull feeding in the block 250 yards away....called him in 50 yards closer and saw it was legal and a 200 yard shot and it was over.

Now if I can get lucky and round out the freezer with a calf moose.

Good going bud. I`m still trying to make one less Okanagan 2 pointer. We were heading to Valemont today for calf season but opted to stay here and hunt for a week instead for immys. :D

yummy.. FD and I saw one earlier, hope he hangs around. Saw a road kill immy 2 days ago by Hosmer. It's not fair that they have to kill immies instead of big bulls on the road??

I'm still wondering why we can'y have a Sept 20th opening like every other region. http://residentpriority.ca/page/3/

Way to go Greg, some nice steaks there!

Not my doing :) but I know Dad is thrilled after the bull elk episode last week.

I don't know why they don't have a September 10th rifle (Sept 1st bow) opener for 2 point bull moose down there like they do here.

Tell him that I'm disappointed that he didn't try the new skinning technique...afterall, he's the one who first sent me that email:p.

Congrats to your Dad!

Congrats to BCR Sr. That immy that eastkoot and I saw would have been an easy crossbow kill, as he was busy watching a bigger bull court a cow. Unfortunately, my crossbow budget got displaced by a new set of tires. :frown:
