I guess if he hit it at the right speed he wouldn't need to lift it onto the roof rack.

That would be quite the conversation piece in the ferry lineup waiting to come home!... :)

Last year we had an Elk Rack and some Quarters (covered in game bags) on top of my quad, in the back of my pickup. One of the ferry workers actually came over and suggested we "tone it down" with the showing of our meat/antlers... Considering we had nowhere else to put it, I don't think he liked our response.

Did you send him for a swim??

Funny......I was just reminiscing about a previous caribou hunt. We had my buddy's full-size Jimmy and we had all the meat(plus a grizzly hide) in a box up top and all of our gear inside. Needless to say we had both sets of antlers tied to the top of the box. We were driving along and the sun was getting low when I looked over and saw our shadow cast on the hill beside the road. The shadow of those antlers, along with the fall colors, gave me cool feeling that is hard to explain. Just one of those weird moments that sticks with you...............wished I had taken a picture.
