Can anybody give me some scouting tips of area where I can get my first whitetail buck? I have never hunted there before so I have no idea to begin hunting in that area.

Thanks
Isn't hunting such a rush!!!!

I would do a little research on the area, there have been a ton of posts regarding rock creek. There are lots of good roads that lead to crown land on the left and right side of the highway. Google maps is helpful. If you pick a few roads and from rock creek to greenwood and go check them out, thats how we found our spot there.

I was turkey hunting there earlier this year and in 2 days i'd say i easily counted about 30 whitetails. Anywhere around there is good.

Of course now that turkey hunting season is closed and whitetail is open you'll see 30 turkeys and no whiteys.

Past rock creek heading to greenwood there's a gas station at the bottom as you wind down the road from rock creek. Once you pass the gas station there is a few roads to your right. A guy I met there was going for whitetail and got one about 12-13 km in. Good luck.
