Got to tag along on a LEH hunt in 7A, to take some video and drink some whiskeys by the stove at night. Evening of day 2 we called up this decent bull, with a mixture of cow calls and some brush raking. Probably shoulda shot him but with all of us with elk in the freezer so far, he survived to see another day!

here's a short video of him coming in right at dusk

Tell me again why he walked? Was that something about being too big to carry? Ha! Nice

Very impressive, just saw a bull similar size actually, with a smaller body though i believe. In region 3, saw about 5 nice matures actually, too bad i didnt have the draw!. Where was this taken?

That's a cool thing to see. Even though we've got plenty of venison this year, I'm going to have trouble passing on a immy if I see one. Good for you guys letting it go.

Great stuff.......love the end of the video shot. Makes the soul soar, clean air, snow covered mountains, a valley full of moose and a full moon..........

Your getting pretty good at that filming thing. Better sell all your guns to me and buy more camera's. Great job! I'm expecting some good predator hunting vids this winter.

I'd have dumped him and went and bought another freezer. Oh wait I just did that two days ago. :-)
Nice footage, I enjoy your work Tod.
Thanks

its a little Panasonic unit, got it for $400. Has a 70x optical zoom, and a image stabilizing feature which really works well. I think it weighs half a pound. I'll probably lose it someday out in the bush

cool video, did you how easy it would be to miss seeing that bull if he was down in that ditch, you could have walked right past saying no moose here, then he walk's up the hill. intresting,, looks flat there but such a good hiding spot, for a moose,, good fliming,, thanks,,,
