Creston Cow

A friend of mine has a cow elk tag for the Creston area,mu.4 06,zone C.He's asked me to post up and see if we can get any general help with information.Is this area primarily agricultural,or a mix?Is permission a difficult thing to obtain?This tag is good till Oct.31.Thank you in advance to all who respond.

Thanks for the response Kenkell1;Is this area a problem area for the farmers?Like too many elk eating their crops.If this is the case,one would think they would welcome responsible hunters packin liability insurance.I do 95% of my hunting north..there the ranchers are accommodating most of the time.

A lot of that land is owned by Wyndell Lumber and the WILL NOT allow hunting on their lands.... I went through that last year, my buddy had the early tag and came up dry. Plus during the early hunt, not sure about the October season, but the elk were off the fields and up into the areas that arn't open for the draw WAY before shooting light.
