Hi all,
Been lurking on this site for a while; lots of great stories and information! Hope I can contribute something.
I ask the question in the title because I have been watching an area that looks promising, and was making a treestand on Saturday, when I ran out of daylight. Did some thrashing and bull calls before leaving to see if there would be any new tracks when I returned on Sunday, and when I did return there was a gut pile right where I had been calling, to my extreme dismay. Obviously, I had made some road hunter's day!
So, what should I do; I'm pretty sure there are more moose in the area, but will they give the kill area a wide berth for long or ???
Bowhunting season opens tomorrow here.

Can't speak to moose exactly, but a few season back my buddy took a real nice deer up the Coq. Exactly 24hrs later, on the same trail within yards of the gut pile, I shot the second deer in the group.

Ditto on won't bother them shot 2 moose 14 hours apart and 20 yards apart, the second one walked over the gut pile to get to my call.

The twin to the immy I shot last week returned to within 50 yds of the kill site 5 hours later.

As said by the others i have seen many moose come in some times within hours of a kill and walk the same path but bears do seem to love the gut piles wonder why????
