The Norrish Creek Forrest Services Road will be closed to all through traffic on September 30. A gate will be installed 7.8km from Bell Rd. along the Norrish Creek Forest Services rd. For more information: 604-864-5514

You could take that road all the way to chehalis, You could get up to Dewdney peak and the top of Nicomen mountain. Lots of new clear cuts and the water isn't coming from Norrish Creek , It comes from Dickson Lake. Lets hope they don't use Stave for drinking water ,Or that will be gated to.I am trying to figure out where the 7.8 km mark is.

Well that shuts down Nicomen mountain. Also i think it shuts down the Rose Creek area.

mapbook shows 9km where rose creek meets norrish, North Deroche rd looks like it meets up with norrish creek fsr if you go far enough, I haven't been out there to try it though

Dewdney peak will still be open if the road isn't washed out from the rains. To bad i see the 9km mark and it would be nice if the gate would go about 200yrd from the cross over bridge, Lots of big black tails on Nicomen mountain, Nice for bears to.

Was told many many years ago about another access rd off Lougheed that produced some very nice blacktails,only tried accessing it once,but didnt get far,as a bridge was out.:roll:

Does this mean Margaret creek is being gated also ????

Why you blocking it off? Not happy about others hunting there and protesting to the government to change the regs for you?

Yeah, the Mission and Abby city water comes from back up in there (that and several wells scattered around). I've been hearing tales of it being gated for a while, but you could still access some of the lower trails like Canopener and 6 Feet Under. Some of the recent pics on bc4x4 show them working up there, I figured they were starting to log again but I guess its for building the gate.

Its a real shame because the scenery up there is fabulous and the hunting is great, I used to love taking it as the back way over to Chehailus Lk then over Mystery Cr out to Harrison West. Made for a nice casual loop on a sunny day. LR
