I started the season in early Sept. with a young fella that received a sheep draw in the Ashnola, unfortunately we did not see any legal rams, but we did get on some sheep and as tough as sheep hunting can be,we had a great time.We worked our way into the Princeton area for opening of the deer season and the young fella harvested a 3x4 buck on opening morning. He requested that I don't post pictures and I will let him make that choice. Two days later and after seeing a 1/2 dozen bears we spotted a big boar, after a brief discussion,we decided to pass on the opportunity as I had another friend arriving the next day and we were aware he was looking for a bear mount.Long story short,he harvested the big bruin at last light on his first day.I have pictures of myself with the bear and I will post them up.
I arrived home for 3 days rest, before myself and another young fella were on our way north to the Ft.St.John area in pursuit of elk and moose. This would be the young fellas(21) second year hunting and he was pumped. He seen his first moose(ever) just before Prince George and we managed to spot many critters on the hunt from a lynx, bears, deer, beaver, fischer and it kept the hunt entertaining, but we did not see any elk.We were lucky on our first day as a mature bull moose presented himself and he is now in the freezer.
We dealt with heat in the low 30's and only had the 1 opportunity at a legal bull.
Left last Saturday, travelled 3400 total km's and arrived home yesterday(Friday)with a moose already cut wrapped and frozen.47.5" spread.
Fastest trip ever.
Special thanks to the members who offered advice on the sheep hunt and thanks to Elkdom for keeping me posted on conditions up north.

sound like alot of fun.
I"d say that its just as fun to watch "the feeling" rip through someone elses body as it is to do it yourself.
good on ya blainer, you've got my dream job.

As indicated,I would post the picture of the bruin my buddy shot in the first week.
This bear was 1" shy of 6',but carried 3-4" of fat on him and weighed over 300lbs.
Just shy of 19" skull
I watched him for 20 minutes 2 days earlier and determined he was a decent bear.
My buddy is having a 1/2 mount done.
comparison,I'm 6',255lbs.
