Youth Girl's first deer (vid)

I had the pleasure of taking my first girl hunter with her dad on a video hunt. Nichol age 16 had never shot a deer and wanted very much to do so. After having passed up a few deer over the first few days, it came down to the last evening . That morning after seeing a large buck the evening before we decided to sit him out and hope he would show himself, but would not be fussy.

IS THAT THE COOLEST VID EVER, Man can I dream that my girl when 16 does that with me.

I was in my 20's when I shot my first buck and it was buck fever, scrambling to get my rifle up, great job Dad on teaching her to take her time!!! WOW, I was even saying SHOOT SHOOT, while watching!!!

Yes I am in AB. I am doing 6 youth hunts this fall, plus adult hunts on vid. Nichol was the first. Greatest thing is she listened to the cameraman lol. I went over the details before our first day out and she followed them to a tee. Her dad was awsome in coaching her.

I had to smile as I was watching the video as I have pretty good computer speakers and the sound of her heartbeating LOUD was too funny and brings back memories of my first (mind you it still happens now :wink: )!

Congrats on a nice buck.!!! That place looks a lot like the area where I hunted around Grand Prairie back in '84 or so. I miss the big monster deer in Alberta. The deer out here are just (little) dogs with horns.....:mrgreen:

LOL that wasn't the cameraman's heartbeat LOL I dont get excited anymore thats why I use a camera.

That was the hunters heartbeat. She was wearing a mic so I could here her voice because of the distance I am from her!

LOL Doesn't sound like she wants to get into hunting. This girl had pink camo hair I see shooting her deer lol. Thats a first. Maybe it will be the in thing for women hunters
