delta waterfowl combined with region2 bcwf and delta ladner r&g club are putting on a safety meeting and some shooting practice.. it will be held on sun, sept 27 at 10;30 am. at the vancouver gun club. kids 10 to 18 are welcome.this is a precurser to our heritage days hunt the following weekend,that we are putting on. all are welcome but we need to know in advance if you interested as there will only be so much room. if you would like to mentor we can always use help.you can contact myself 604 340 8496 or dennis at 604 841 5369 or mark at 604 838 3214. its generally a good time and the kids learn what hunting is about and all aspects of it. you can email me as well at dlvid@telus.net ....thx dale

hey dale its josh. i would like to say thank you to you and ian for my wadders,they are very warm and they fit me nicely.it was very thoughful of you to think about me and for giving me them,also me and brianna where wondering if we could borrow the guns we used last year for the trap shooting and for herritage days.

what a great day it was today,there where a few new ones and now my sister is not the only girl anymore which is good for her and eveyone had a blast today.thanks to all who showed up and thats to fowl for orginazing all of this and to eveyone eles.

How did the young bucks do this weekend?? K

as i recall there was 13 or 14 kids out and the final count was about about 27 ducks and 6 snows as somebody snuck on them and chased them off their roost and out into deep water,unfortunately. the youngest off the group got his first snow goose and didnt put it down for hours,pretty funny.there was one snow that came in that got shot at 19 times and finally died,glad hes not in the gene pool any more..im not sure what happened to josh this year but being with the girls i think put his mind out or something.they nearly drove my dog nuts with all the shooting and not much to retrieve,it seems they are alll familiar with the canine evil eye.. we all met at wellington point for lunch and to teach the kids how to clean the birds. they all got hats etc. i believe they all had a good time. we had allison stacy out for a while who is the youth co ordinator for the bcwf. and she was happy to see how we did it..and might have found a region2 youth delegate or 2..many thanks to richie, mark and rob and all the other mentors that helped out...fowl

yea we had a suicidle snow goose that came around twice and it started at r blind and ended at our blind with my sister shooting it once then as it came down she shot it agian ,im glad that my sis got it cuz it was ehr last year for herritage days and i dont know y i was shooting so bad yesterday but i did kill the first duck with one shot,so not bad.but it was nice to see new people out there and hunting for the first time....Thanks Mentors for a great hunt

Heritage day hunt. It sounds like you are very well organized.
Also a very nice bag of birds was enjoyed by the younguns!!
