Geese in Vanderhoof

I would like to head up to Vanderhoof to chase geese sometime this fall. Any info as to the best time, where to go, etc would be appreciated. If there are any local HBC members that would like to get together for a shoot that would be great.

Best spots are private land. Birds are good tasting and lots of them.

all private land unless you hunt the river by boat. Local guiding outfit has ruined the area for residents, almost all the land is tied up for the year for access. Ive pretty much given up waterfowl hunting because of it :(

lots of birds around now, but best is 3rd week in Sept to mid October usually. Ive had great hunts from early sept to late november however

I just drove through Vanderhoof on the weekend and saw masses of Canadas in a field next to the highway.
