About 15yrs ago I smashed my right ankle falling trees,as a result I have screws in the ankle bones, but more importantly I have very little support in the ankle now.On bad ground my ankle rolls over on the outside. Are there any boots or ankle braces that anyone has tried?Im hoping someone has had a similar problem and might shed some light.

Your best bet might be a pair of these.

The Meindl "Dovre" or the "Canada"

I use these, Muck Boots. theyre waterproof almost to the knee and although the "look" like a rubber farm boot they are not. theyre great boots, real comfy and with a good tensor ankle brace inside youd be set.

Oh yah and they go for 99 bucks I think. thats the best part

Have you thought about sports tape...? Taping up your ankle for support might work even better, as it will isolate the movement before the boot has too.

X2 for the high meindl's. I have the island pros, which are great, but if you need extra ankle support the higher ones are the boots for you.

I tried a pair on at AJ brooks and it felt like I would break my knees before I would roll my ankle. About as much ankle support as a ski boot.
