just got back from the EK

just got back from the EK...the family ended up with 3 six point bulls...one archery and 2 rifle...8 deer.got my first elk and stalked in on my mulie to 4 yards!!!:biggrin: super exciting...more to come.. try and get some pics up...still tired!!!

PS..and blew the head gasket in my truck on the Hope Princeton and somehow made it on to the boat!!!! what a day

Wow, sounds like a great trip. aside from the ride home. Did you leave any for the rest of us?! I'm still debating if I should make the trek to Fernie but your story is helping me make the right decision. Can't wait to see the pics. I hope you have a couple big freezers!

got home and my folks bought us a new big frezer!!! what a welcomed sight...it is a definite good year for bulls this year...got in to 40 yrds on a 4 point bull but i stopped him 1 yrd too far and didnt have the shot..but maybe it was for a reason i guess

Good for you and the family. Not so good for the truck. Buddy of mine blew the motor in his new (to him) chevy blazer and had to buy a re-and-re motor from Cdn Tire in Cranbrook. He rented a car, finished the week's hunting and picked his bazer up on the way through back home to Vanc.

All he got was 1 little whitetail buck and NO poontang when he got home. Poor bugger.....

Nice work to bad about the truck though.I have heard some good reports on the Elk this year.Heading over on sat.for two weeks,hope the weather cools a bit.Seen a picture of a dandy 230 Bull shot last weekend.

Congrats on keeping us all in suspence. I would really love to do an elk hunt one day. Sounds like its quite the rush.
