I presently own a Bowtech Allegiance and am looking for a sling for it. Im really not sure how it attaches or how well they work.

Any advice from the pro's?

what kinda sling ... like a wrist sling so it it dont fall in the dirt when shooting ... or to Carry the bow over your shoulder

the Primos sling ... the one that most seem to have ... has pockets that your cams slip into ... there are straps to keep it secure if you want ...

It fit my Hoyt Protec (41 inches A2A) my Bowtech 101st (37 inch a2a) and my Diamond Black Ice (32 inches)

here you can see a wrist sling attached to the bow by the stabilizer ... usually a peice of lether or alike with a hole that the stab bolt goes through .. and a loop of material ... some are braided rope ... I use a a peice of braided leather on my hunting bow

some people use this style of wrist sling that attaches to your wrist instead of your bow, mostly target shooters use this

some target shooters use a finger sling that attaches to your thumb and to your forefinger or middle finger like this

Hope this ansers some of your questions

The Primos Unit is what you want ... its awesome ... and as i alluded to earlier ... it will carry any compound bow no problem

Here's another option for you to consider...

http://www.huntingbc.ca/photos/data/500/99451.jpg

It's by Vista and it does a great job. Only thing is - it doesn't have the cinch-type straps for the cam or the idler wheel. The bow hangs really nicely and is really quick and easy to release for the shot, but you can't carry it over your shoulder while riding an ATV.

Most any hunting type shop that stocks Primos gear .... that one in new west ... Boormans? should have it

the Vista one is good too .. I like the primos because it covers the strings and Cams and you can tighten the carry strap to right tight with the string if you wanna put the bow on an ATV rack

the Vista one will allow easier access if you need the bow in a hurry as you can just flip one strap off a Cam (or wheel) and the other end will fall right off ...

Both have their pros ..and both have their cons ...
but Both are great products

I use the Primos

Hub sports had a whole slew of those slings at one time. They had so many they probably still have some.

Cant honestly say I have timed myself ... when I am walking I dont strap my bow into it ... If I were to guess maybe 2 seconds ... a quick tug and flick and its free ...Usually ...its an art and practice is required ;)
when I am stalking something I never have it in the sling anyway and I have an arrow nocked

I tried all those "slings" and found the thing that worked best was simple

Take one of your luggage or bag shoulder straps with plastic clips/hooks and a shoulder pad and clip it on your cams. Voila, free sling.
