5-13c scouting

We are headingto 5-13c on the 18th near fispot lake. Can anybody give me some insite on the area and any scouting info?? Will moose be in the rut by the end of this week and is the deer still around?

I don't have my map book infront of me so not sure of exact area u r talking about but generally moose will just be starting to rut around now or next week, right through too mid oct. As for your deer, the only thing that moves them out is a lack of food, usually due to snow. Hope that helps ya.

thanks kenny. we are hunting about 45 minutes west of nazko i think around baezaeko river and fishpot lake

The area you will hunting in has HUGE cutblocks. Find water and the timber and you will find moose. Deer are still there but so are the wolves. Mike

hey oldtimer is this due to the pine beetle as i was htere 2 years ago and there werenot that much cut other than the north end

If you're staying at fishpot lake[highly recommended-great cabins, reasonable prices] Pete,if he's still operating it, has maps of the area.I drew a september ''any bull ''tag and it was a bit early-didn't see any bulls but we shot a lot of grouse
