I saw this one today passed on him cuz it was starting to get warm. That being said if i see him again do you think take him or wait and see.

Depends what you are looking for... It's a healthy lookin' bruin with a nice coat - no rubs. Average sized bear - looks ~5+ ft. Probably full of berries right about now... Good pics!

It's a young one, but I'd certainly let my son take that one.

For food it's a shooter.

If you're looking for a trophy rug, pass........

Looks young, but depends what you want. There is a decent write up in the regs about sizing bears.

That would be the best size fall bear to eat, roasts and steaks and hamburger. Bear is the favourite in our house when it it from a young 2-3 year old.

Good for meat, judge how far the belly is from the ground and the spread of the ears. If the belly is close to the ground he is probably a fair size (generally). Ears far apart.

As well, the big boys walk with attitude, almost like a swagger.

Bears are easier to judge up close. I suggest you shoot it and then you can decide if you regret it or not!! Seriouly thou, its meat. Can't go wrong.

Good luck.

He's a shooter if you like pepperoni. mmmmm.
Its about the same size as the one I shot today. found him feeding on the gut pile of the buck I shot 2 hrs earlier. It was a god day in chilliwack for BearStump.

That's what I look for when I'm looking for a good eater. I pass on the bigger ones. I have no need any tough old bear meat.
