Where is his trusty gun Turbo? And how does Turbo feel about him not being along on this hunt? Did Al let the bull finish breeding to ensure his genes were passed on to the herd?

Sorry bout that, having flashbacks to some previous Al Shear literature - never had the deer scored, so how do we know that it was 240"????

Makes me think my elk was a "dink", to borrow the phrase from Dana...

What a huge SOB, one day I hope to draw that tag...

Mr. Shearer has shot a few big mulies on the Fraser. I think you can see them on Lancasters web site.

That truly is one giant bull. Why though does the non resident get to hunt his elk before the season even opens for the resident LEH holders ?

What a huge SOB, one day I hope to draw that tag...Well, relatively speaking, yours is a dink when compared. But just as much a trophy.

When I scrolled down to the pic (after 9 days of elk hunting) I just started to monkey chuckle.....

I'm curious also what did it weigh in at (quartered)?

Both the non-rez and rez special permits open Sept 1 and close Nov 30.

great bull, there are lots of good bulls in the powell river area.My brother was after an 11x9 last year (never got him though) and a friend of mine has a draw this year, dont know if he is holding out for the big one though. PGK powell river is on the mainland ,even though you have to take 2 ferries to get there.
