I was up there today Jelvis :) I always enjoy hunting the plateau, but from the road it's too busy don't usually see much. Over the last few years I've found a few spots were I can hike around and I almost always see lots of deer, I've seen a few big bucks and I know there are lots more. Today was blue grouse only for me I didn't really think of deer too much, I don't like hunting deer in this heat myself. I did see I nice little two point though that would have definately been in the freezer if it were Oct:)

Huge Huge bucks up the Red Plateau, unlike where I live, we have just little dink bucks, most don't even have horns above there ears, these dam girlie man bucks up here even squat to pee!!! I think Red Plateau has it all, Monster Mulie Bucks, White tail Bucks,11 pound blue grouse and tons of inmature bulls! Here in 3-27 there's very little game left, I think the Radiation from the old radar base at Mnt Lolo pretty well cleaned this area out! Red Plateau is the Place to Go!!!

I keep meaning to go up top of the dew drop ridge and do some scouting but I keep going elsewhere...So many places to go so little time. Though I have done some hunting on the other side of the Creek edging on the sheeps Eastern most Range.

Oh really, I only want the little guys where their antler...s dont get any higher than their ears, they taste better and their easier to drag out, so I wont be goin up red plateau, but where are the little guys you speak of because thats where I'm goin. I like hunting where there isn't any game and a little radiation never hurts as I'm trying to build my immune system for the impending nuclear war.:)

did some scouting today up that area lots of sign of deer and sheep old and new (took out 8 dollars of old beer cans) and on the way out me and my dad scared up 2 solo rams about 150 yards out. Gonna be going back in to the area some more for a more extensive scouting up some of the trails. Today was just a get familiarize with the area kinda trip.

took my son up there last year over thanksgiving for his first hunt. he was 6 at the time. i could not pass on the little spiker we saw because my son was so excited (so was I to see him like that). thanksgiving spiker with full velvet...kind of neat.
so this year i was walking it on september 10th opening at 5am. i covered about 5 miles but no 4 point and i promised i would be back in coquitlam by 6. actually i never saw a damn thing i could eat and enjoy. pulled out a decent c-clamp and a s hook for my tarp strap that was missing one. i did also pick a basecamp for thursday when i head up with the boy for this years trip. so if you see my up there jel please do say. i would love to know if you are as crazy as you seem. i do like crazy.
