I have a tika 6.5x55 with a bushnell legend 3-9x50 scope.
But I was also looking into a browning xbolt medallion 7mm.
What do you think should I stick with the tika or move up to the 7.
I live on vancouver island and will be hunting deer and blackbear.

Stick with the Tika, Hell i have a Ruger#1 in 7mil mag and now I'm using my CZ550FS in 6.5X55 for everything with less kick and ammo is cheaper. I was going to buy a Tika but the plastic clip made me change my mind. I also reload so I'm not to worried about ammo prices.

Why would you need to change that setup?
Maybe upgrade the optics, or change to a newer rifle if that one is old and beat up? but you dont NEED a bigger gun for hunting the island.
If you're anything like me, there is a very fine line between NEED, and WANT, lol.The x-bolt is a real nice gun.

Stick with the Tikka; the 6.5x55 is just about perfect for your quarry. If the money was burning a hole in my pocket I'd spend it on a good scope or high end set of binoculars. Do you reload?

another vote for the 6.5x55, although I would personally switch the scope to something a bit more compact
