who else got one? I been thinking about when to go. Got until the end of February. I love to get one with that really long Winter coat!

I will also try to do it with the longbow. Am I nuts?

Goat with a bow in the winter is very very doable...probably more so that in the Summer/Fall, at least around here. Which draw did you get? I prefer the fall myself as I like the view from up top. I have friend who has 6 goats with a bow.

I got 6-09. The excact location was information given to me by a friend and I don't want to give that away here.
Thunderstix, do you have a draw this year?

6-9 is a big area! A winter goat will be very nice. Friend of mine has a draw for a goat in 6-9 too. I may go out for a day with him. He is a rifle hunter.
I am going to apply for a tag next year for my bow and try for a winter goat too.

The lower elevations are still relatively snow free right now so sooner may be better than later although more snow make also make it easier too, moving the goats lower down.

Good luck!

Thanks, I talked to several friends in Terrace and they reported very low to no snow conditions. I need snow for them to go where I plan to hunt them.

Mooseman, do you ever go to 3D shoots on my side of George?

I went to the 3D provincial in Vanderhoof last year but had to work (well fish) this year. Would love to go to Terrace and Smithers next year but haven't made it in the past. I do go to Quesnel as much as possible. Nice shoots and people there.

I made Vanderhoof the year before but not last year. I thought maybe our paths had crossed.

boonerbuck - That is too funny

tigger - Hey, I really appreciate your offer, but I got an exact spot where to go and it isn't mine to tell.

Thunderstix - We camped back by the practice range. I did ok with my longbow there. My boys (then 5 & 7) were shooting too. Super weather then apparently this year was very wet.

I've got a Goat draw for 6-30. I am planning to go up in February, hopefully the weather permits.
