no you cant shoot a bow with a sling attched because the sling attaches around the cams, however it only takes a couple seconds to get a bow free from its sling.

I use the same sling as the others and find it handy in rough terrain and long stalks in the open when you need to crawl.

I also use the Primos. I carry my bow in my hand while stalking but sling it when I have to climb or for the hike out. I like this sling because it protects the cams and the string from snags. It works well on my MC as well. Very quick to get the bow out of the sling.

Used seatbelt from the auto wreckers....

Sew on a button, that will go onto the limb of the bottom of the bow, sew a loop in the top and it will cradle your upper cam....Can probably post a pic if you are confused.

Cost you virtually nothin...

I use a bow sling since I started bowhunting 16 years ago. I forgot what brand but it is not a Primos deal that you have to unzip to get the bow out. Mine has two clips that are attached to each limb just below and above the riser and then the strap clips on to that on either side. Takes two seconds to get on and off.

Here is what the sling looks like. I have no clue if these slings are still made today. Probably not because they are to simple to use. I purchased ten of them 16 years ago for $ 4.00 each. I love simple gadgets.:-) The bonus with this sling is that I could shoot the bow with the sling on if I wanted too since it does not interfere with the cams or the limbs. Like I said it's simple but works better then any other slings I have seen and field tested.

I have one of those huntwriter but, I can't find it for the life of me.Not fond of having my bow zipped up, its like walking around with my rifle in a case not for me.I have some Air Force straps that I will modify.

This is the one that I use - although the Primos sling is the better way to go if you ride a quad or a dirt bike.

The Vista sling is the easiest, fastest one for waddling around in the bush but it doesn't do anything to protect your strings or cams. But I still prefer it over others.

p.s.
No, that's not my bow. I shoot a Diamond Liberty.......

I have the Vista and the Primos. For hunting the Vista is quicker to remove but as Bow Walker mentioned it does not protect your strings.

Not to stray too much, but what are guys using for crossbows?
Will a regular rifle sling work?

Primos! awesome when packing out an animal. Plus really protects your cables and strings.

No it's not the same. Mine clips on to the bow. The brackets stays on the bow. Cabela's is a leash type of deal. At least that is what I have seen in their catalog.

The Primos one that I have doesnt have any zippers but has snaps that cover the strings however you don't need to do them up. This is the one https://shop.primos.com/pc-618-84-bow-sling.aspx
