HALLO
Well it was one great week for our group up in region 3. Myself, The Menno, better.run, and rack.aholic stayed at loon lake. We arrived there on sunday afternoon and made a damn good BBQ. Next morning everyone was sleeping and i was on the dirtbike at 545am to do some scouting. Not a sign of deer above loon lake, but i did see a moose cow, and i ran into two indians who shot a bull moose. Anyways opening day came around we were on the road at 430 to get our honey hole. Seen all kinds of does and a 2 pointer but not quite what i was looking for. So back to the cabin for some lunch and a little bit of fishing. Headed out again about 4pm and ahd no luck with seeing much but when we got back to the cabin, rack.aholic had shot his first deer. A nice 3x3 so we skinned that sucker quickly and in the freezer he went. Next morning on the 2nd, the old man and me were again. We saw a doe and two fawns about 625am, then nothing for a while. All of a sudden we came around the corner and the first thing i see is this 4x4 standing at 120 yards broadside with a 2 pointer and a doe. Before my dad even has time to stop the truck i was out, gun was loaded, and boom right through the windpipe. I had my first 4 pointer. WOO HOO. By 8am we had the deer in the truck and gutted. That evening better.run's little brother got his first deer aswell, a nice 2 pointer. Anyways enough talking...ill upload some pics in a few minutes.
