I read the article in the Fall issue "BCO" about the Serengeti of BC and I was wondering how they would keep the meat from going bad. Looks like on day 6 they were out to base camp with 3 stone sheep rams. After that they had a week to hunt elk in hot dry weather. BCKID

Since the author is a member of this site, I'm sure he'll answer your question when he sees it.

IIRC this was mid september hunt. Should be plenty cool to hang meat up north at that time of yr.
Great article DD!!
Nice to see lots of other HBC mugs in that issue:cool:.

weather was cool and on the one hot day we had, we wrapped the meat in our survival blankets "shiny side out" worked great to keep the meat cool, all of it made it home in great shape!! :eave Wed for 26 days of adventure up the muskwa/tuchodi area, should be fun!

DD -great job on the article! The survival blanket idea sounds great. I may have a need for that on my Sep 25 region 6 moose draw. Thanks..
