finally some cooler weather

Thank goodness for this cooler weather and incremental rain/sun periods. Not only will the fires die down a bit but the animals will appreciate it too.

Here in the koots those elk will be getting a bit more mobile and not hunker down so much in the mid day heat. Lets hope it'll give us bow hunters a better chance!

I was thinking the same thing (about the cooler weather getting the elk movin' a bit) the last few days. My Dad and brother are in the Kootenays right now after elk - haven't heard how they are making out yet. Good luck to all.

just got back and had quite a successful time, in my mind. I posted a bit of a blurb about in in the main section.

Two bulls were standing on a hill admiring the view of all the cows in the pasture below. The younger bull said to the older bull "Let's rush down this hill and jump us each a cow!" "No way!" said the older bull, "We'll just saunter down carefully and jump the whole herd."
