hunting moose 1st time pink mountain

Need some info on hunting moose in area 7-48 7-45.Im taking my to kids up north for the fist time,are there any elk in those units. Thanks

elk are around pink mtn for sure and along the halfway river at mile 143

Are you talking about along side the ranch?

Any easier area to get a handle on things is to go south on Mile 132, go in quite a ways, you'll see what I mean, start bleeking and or calling and find them, they are defineatley around! - ELK

As for moose, they are around, a solid area will be Mile 135 and go in 25 kms and the area will be perfect for moose as you will see, you'll know you're on the right road as you will drive by Boreal Camp at approx 5 kms in.

there are good #'s of elk in both 7-45 and 7-48, as most MU's in 7B,

Mu's 48 and 45 the Sikanni drainage and other creek and valley bottoms hold elk, elk are becoming more prolific than moose,,,

Thanks guys that was one of the areas (132 mile) and head west,also thought about around 159 mile and head northeast past mason lake.Im leaving on the 25 sept -oct 9 will that hit the rut for moose.

theres elk in there too (135). 132 is good, but very popular. Go down to the ranch on the Halfway and ask old Al about his John Deere Tractors. I bet he likes fish from the chuck as well. He don't like elk much. Play your cards right and he might just show you where the elk are at.
