went out this morning. at first light, and headed towards a clearing i wanted to check. and on the way i spooked a buck at about 40yards and sent it crashing through the trees.I thought to my self oh well thats my chance of the day gone.but i carried on hunting ,an hour later i was on my way back when i heard something walking in the willows to my right so i walked up a small bank and looked over. and my bear was standing up scratching a cottonwood tree.it was 12 yards away so i drew back put the pin on his chest and let fly the arrow passed straight through its chest going through both lungs. but it just stood there as if nothing had happened, so i shot it again about 3" higher and it hit it in the kneck killing it instantly. It was an average bear about 150lb.it was the fourth bear ive stalked within bow range this fall, but unfortunately was the smallest, but its my first bear with a bow so im very pleased. I didnt take any pictures as i did not have a camera with me.sorry

Nice story. It doesn't have to be the biggest to be a great memory. On the other hand, posting a story without pictures is, well, just frowned upon!

yeah good luck to you also,The deer in my area took a hammering this past winter what with the 3&4 feet of snow we had around for most of the winter.too many wolves!
but what i have noticed is more whitetails moving in, a friend & neihber saw a cranker of a whitetail buck 2 nights ago.
