any tips?
I was thinkin of gettin up top (2000+m) and watch what drainage they like to head down, find the game trail and hope to find an open area along the trail even some recently used beds....
any pointers would be great..

the idea here is that we want you to kill the "homesteader elk". the ones in the hayfields at night and hanging on the winter range all year.there are plenty but they don't really move that far.most will bed in thick timber within 1000 yards of their prefered feed.usually alfalfa.there are lots of land owners in the area that are very happy to have hunters on their land as long as you talk to them first.in person is always prefereable.there is a fair bit of pressure put on these elk and it doesn't take long for them to become very call shy.best thing is to sit quietly and hope the right animal comes by.
