The following advice was received yesterday, August 31st, from the Fish & Wildlife Branch, Ministry of Environment --

“This is a heads up that there is likely to be an area closure under the Wildfire Act in the Kelly Creek area starting tomorrow (September 1st). The Ministry will provide a map of the area once the order is signed. What this means is that for public safety reasons all public access will be closed and consideration for exceptions would be only for strategic or critical reasons and then would only be allowed by escort. Hunting or angling exceptions will not be considered. This area is situated in MU 3-31.“

Getting a little rain now in the North Thompsom but also getting lots of lighting with it. Just sat outside for the last hour wtaching the storm move over from the south also some strong wind.

We got a lot of rain in a short time, but not enough rain. Lots of flashes and thundering to boot. The ground is still wet, and the air is a lot clearer today. Lets hope for more rain.

My hunting partner drew one of two sheep tags for the restricted area ,Looks like its going to be a late hunt if it happens at all.
