are the elk buggling for you?

I've been out scouting around the last few weekends and i've seen some cows and calves , but no bulls yet.I've also been buggling every where i go , but nothing answering.Its been pretty hot up here in the EK.How active have they been for any of you?

2 answers this morning, and 3 different bulls answered back tonight...hoping for a good result tomorrow morning.
We watched 2 younger bulls trying to muscle away some cows this evening, all were pretty vocal. Things look pretty promising

Friend got a nice 6x6 yesterday just over in Alberta. Hines Creek area. Soon as they got out of the truck, two bulls bugling nearby. They cow called and couple bugles later had one on its way. Bow kill.

I'm going to have to say not yet but hopefully tonite will be a different story if dad doesn't get one this morning. I have to work on opening day for bow , not fair!

On the weekend, I was up north and went for a hike with my bugle and cow calls. Got 2 bulls to respond and 1 came in silent. The growler came into 30 yards, & had the video rollin', but I never got a look at his rack... good entertainment though! :cool:

Was out spotting for Muley's yesterday and had elk bugling all around. Saw a bachelor group up high that we figure was making all the noise. Awesome, too bad I have to work for the first 4 days of bow season!

Buddy went out and got a bull this morning. Had 3 bugling before first light. Shot the third one at 60 yards or so he claims. About the third person who has heard them bugling the last few days. NE BC that is!

Went out last night and after a little cow talk had 2 bulls singing. Seeing as this was more of a scouting trip, I tried bugling back and the bulls went instantly quiet.
