Well it looks like I'm off on opening day September 10th. There's a non 4 point buck season there, Bag limit two. Lots of game is open that day.

I'm going to get up real early and go scout an area in Region 2-11 north west of Pemberton. Looks like theres a couple of high valleys with cut blocks, and good sources of water. Looks about 3000 to 5000 feet.

A guy at work got a big Blackie last fall south of the Hurley Pass on the Hurley FSR, so I'll have my 30-06 and a Bear tag.

Maybe, with a little luck, I can put some meat in the freezer.

Keep an eye on the fire situation too, we have plans to head into 3-37 tomorrow for youth season, but fire fires have us considering other options.

Also, be mindful that there are Grizz in them that hills!! Good luck.

Still hot around.

I may stick to the river valleys and cool shade areas for Bears

There is no game in Pemberton. No deer, no bear, no grouse. Try CLearwater.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................................:?? ?:

Gatehouse says theres no Deer, Bear, or critters near Pemberton.

Clearwater is too far for a day trip, and I don't own a Porsche GTP 2 Turbo.

...........guess I'll have to hunt the cooler room -reefer unit of a select gourment restaurant in Whistler village. Might be meat there.........
