Word from a friend of mine that was moose hunting along Mile 152 up by Fort St John, is that the Natives were shooting everything in sight.
Bulls, cows & calf's. Pit lamping at night.
So where are the CO's & our government. One young lad in the hunting store in Kamloops was also verifing that this was happening.
Anyone else heard of this happening?

There is nothing the CO's can do because for Natives it is legal to shoot whatever and hunt whenever and wherever they want.

Verifed by who?Was it seen?Rumours or fact? Contact the local CO yourself in that area and report it.All you can do.Bulls, cows & calves, they may have their "rights" under "the law", but I don't agree with pitlamping ,that puts others in harms way.If they are target shooting, and /or letting the meat rot,I don't care what colour you are, that pisses me off more than anything. Keep diggin guys & gals,I would love to see some more info on this one!!

Here we go again!
Grin and bear it! There is really nothing that you or I can do.(or for that matter Mr. Campbell or the CO’s)
IMO This is the major reason of why the LEH was implemented.
Time to reread the joke threads before my BP gets too high.
Good luck with the thread!

Isn't that their right? Although not sure if it was their right to use a gun though! About 12 years ago they came into our camp and stole a moose my brother shot ...............lazy *******s this was about 30 kms south of Dease Lake they also had shot a hole in my boat shot out a few trailer tires. We contacted the RCMP and told them but not even a statement was taken so we told them if we catch anyone in our camp we would not be responsible for anything that happened

I can see this thread getting out of hand very soon. Pointing fingers wont solve any issues.

If you dont agree with the laws please contact your local MP.

Also if you feel what was happening was illegal. Contact the local CO and give them the info...

Im locking this thread now....

The only way to do something about this is public pressure.

If someone could get video of this, and get it to the proper media, we would probably see some pressure put on the pit lampers by thier own band to cool it.
