Rishu, congrats on your moose hunt. You were in a very special part of the world that carries a large amount of game. For some strange reason I have always driven past and never stopped to hunt there. Probably because I'm headed to he Turnagain, Kechika, or special places well beyond.

I have also missed many shots in my life.

Do not pay attention to the flack you received from anyone. I have hunted in areas frequented by just about every native band in BC and even a few in Alberta. I have also been known to hunt within many GO territiories and race the guides to the game. All is fair while performing a legal hunt during a legal season.

I am not a huge fan of moose but have been known to take them if stumbled upon close to the boat, truck or quad. My favorite is cow elk. They always taste so good and smell so pretty.

My bet is that someone trying to draw a reaction out of him will first.
We're cracking down on people trying to stir the pot, put your spoon away ;)

Hey Rishu,

Nice moose congrats. I see you said you live 2 mins. away from PoCo Fishing and Hunting club. I live on Burke too, maybe I'll see you at trap one day.

Your post reminded me to go sight in my rifles, I missed a shot last year I shouldn't of. Maybe it was me but maybe I have knocked the scope. Thanks for the reminder, nothing like spending a bunch of time and money getting to a place where you can take the shot and screwing up because you forgot to check your rifle.

And even experienced hunters can make mistakes.
