Anybody know if there is any cabins on the Bull River to rent? Heading there in a couple weeks and wouldn't mind a cabin instead of the old tent. Thanks for the help.

These are the only ones I am aware of....

I suspect they'd be booked up by now, but you never know.

there used to be quite a few, then the forestry made them all take them out so there are virtually none up the bull anymore, the bull river guest ranch is pretty nice but more touristy than anything, beautiful though....

I don't know the contact number but his name is Tex. He has cabins for rent on the Galbrith side. Good luck getting one though.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll just stick with the old tent. The guest ranch is to far away from where I hunt. Most of my hunt is gonna be up high so I'll be hunting from a spike camp anyways.

Just took a drive up there on Thursday inspecting roads. The Bull River has been graded from the dam to Sulphur creek and up to Summer Lake. It is starting to get pounded out as there is more washboard than normal. Past 50 km and especially past 60 km (Quinn Creek) it gets a lot rougher with lots more potholes. I finished up by driving up and over into the Whiteswan. It was a nice day, didn't see many critters though.

I'm gonna be there on the 9th till 20th or so and will be camping around the 50 km area. I'll stop buy and have a coffee. Pretty green at this elk hunting stuff, might come buy for some advice.

Weather has been nice +10 in the morning or where you will be at the Quinn Cr it will probably be +4. Daytime has been 26 but cools off quick in the evening. have fun and leave some game for the rest of us!

Thank you buckman. Sounds alot like last years weather which drove them way up and into back basins. Just means a great hike and pack out if we connect with a 6pt. I love the packing out, it just means a camp day with some nice cold ones. I'm hoping my dad gets a crack at one this year aslo would like to see the wife get her second one. MikeB stop in for sure we'll be there for two weeks starting on the 13th. The fever is getting worse.:-P:-PJust need to hear that first one then the fun begins.
