We checked this area out when trying, unsuccessfully, for turkey in the spring. Has anyone had any whitetail success in this area? We noticed that at a certain point we entered a park of some sort so that may or may not curtail any hunting in the area.

That probably would have been Gladstone Provincial Park which is open for hunting Sept 1st to April 15th only in 8-15.

I used to catch the odd rattlesnake on them thar hills. Its more of a wintering area for the whitetails.. Of course when I lived there it wasn't a park. :)
