I had fun trying out my new camera on these goats. The camera is a Olympus SP 590 with a 26x optical zoom and a 1.7 teleconverter. These goats are a good 1.5-2 kms away. A little grainy, but not bad considering the distance.

So can you get them goats or are they in a death trap.

These goats are not in my LEH unit. Saw them while we were hunting bears. It would be tricky getting at them. But probably doable if you waited for them to feed in a good spot. There was a monster black bear up on that hill too. Would have loved to make a play on him as he was every bit of 6'8" to 7 foot. Just wasn't in a doable spot to stalk him. Wasn't in a good spot for pics either.

Actually Im kinda on the fence about what to do, Id never cut an early season tag for a 170 buck, but I will probably hike back up there to think about it in sept. :wink: (sorry for the hijack)

Yup, Cody is wearing an Eberlestock Gunslinger. Damn good youth pack. He packed out his goat and his grandpa's moose with it last year. With the amount of tags we have this year, I'm sure it'll get a lot more use pretty damn quick here. He is growing like a weed though, so I may have to give him my J105 next year and pick up a new J107 for myself. ;)

Great photos.
I wish I had a son but I was blessed with 2 girls.
They are just into cloths and makeup.
Once in a while I bribe them with Timmies so they get out of bed and come.
It's still great being with them.
Lots of fun with the 22 and pop tins.
