I was wondering if anyone on here hunts the Greenwood BC area? I have hunted there annually for about 10 years now and my family has been hunting there for probably 30 years. Anyone have any stories or hotspots in the Greenwood area? I am heading up there opening weekenend and can't wait to get out there!!!!

Sounds like you would have some pretty good stories and hotspots if the family and you have been hunting it collectively for the last 30 years.......

Start us off.......

Lol, Really? I've always had a ton of luck there and always see a ton of animals. I go at least a couple times a season. Where do you normally hunt there?

Terrace peaks, copper mtn, twin bridges...those used to be good spots at certain times of the year. The latter 2 being a late season hunts...Good luck to you.:)

There's an old mine south of town that I have seen a lot of whitetails around but never any of size. I'm sure they are there, I just haven't seen them.

Have you ever looked into the history of the town? It was one of the largest internment camps for Japanese Canadians during WW11. (Not sure if any of them had a chance to hunt or not.)

Yes, lots of history in greenwood. The mine's name and townsite was called Anaconda. I knew of a couple Japanese who hunted.

I remember they filmed that movie there called "Snow Falling on Cedars". My band was playing at the Roadside cafe and pub when some of the film crew were in town.

My wife went for a walk around town last night & saw 3 does & 5 fawns.
So there got to be bucks around there some where.
Good luck
