I saw a nice buck at night between Cache Creek and Kamloops crossing the highway a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure if you let loose a bunch of hunters who are used to hunting the sage from Utah or Arizona, they'd have a field day.

A lot of people think the sage is ugly, I disagree, I love the look of it and the smell of a sage forest is something you never forget. The bucks like it too, we are slowly losing the sage area's in urban area's, alot of it is private land but if a guy can get permission to hunt its exciting. Its fun spotting them and sneaking within range to get a good shot, lots of other game in the sage besides mule deer too.

Jelly in the sage out of the cage -- Nice mule deer buck -- +
Jelly I got this guy up prentice gulch off the fraser.I jetted up there late nov after I was told not to waste my time by an another hbcer.I figured him out pretty quick, there were lots of deer and easy access if you have a boat. The deer arent much larger than this guy but there were quite a few 4 pointers just no crankers.
He tasted great!

My dad was talking to a guy who just got back from a trip where they got several big bucks in the sage brush. Could it be the big guys like this terrain because they don't get their massive antlers caught up when they are moving around?
