I know the Campbell and Quinsam river have huge pink runs-but is there any south island rivers with a good pink run?

Nile creek is happening, and has been for awhile.Departure Bay in Nanaimo is also happening, that due in large part by the hard work and funding of the Nanaimo Fish & Game.

no pinks in the cowichan. I dont think there in sooke river either. matter of fact when i lived on the west coast i didnt see any there either. i think they are a north east island fish, in the rivers anyway. there is buckets of them off sooke though

as far as I know there are no pinks in the Cowichan River (temp too wam for them to spawn) --BUT the Pacific Salmon Foundation (?) reared pinks in a net pen in Cowichan Bay for a couple years now, and THEY'RE BACK!!! (it's the first year) and lots of people are catching them. There are markers from Hecate Park in Cowichan Bay to Cherry Point and inside the buoys (check the regulation updates) is open for pinks----good luck

No pinks is south Island rivers although there was some talk of getting a pink run started in the Jordan River a couple of years ago. Nothing has come of that so it probably won't happen.
